RFP 2026-0500-0260 Child Nutrition Programs Administrative Review
The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) is seeking proposals from qualified offerors to conduct Administrative Reviews (AR) for the USDA nutrition programs administered by school districts and Residential Child Care Institutions (RCCI) in Alaska as required by DEED for the school meal programs as well as the summer programs.
Alaska is a 365-million-acre region that has less than 800,000 people, and temperatures exceed +100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer to below –40 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter. The geography and climate of the region create challenges to transportation and resource accessibility for both program sponsors and State employees.
There are ten individuals that oversee the entire Child Nutrition Programs for the State of Alaska, working to meet the strategic goal of improving the safety and well-being of students through school partnerships with families, communities, and tribes. By including contractors in our mission to ensure program integrity and compliance, we hope to achieve greater efficiency and more thorough reviews and technical assistance for our sponsors.
