Subject to AS 35.05.850, the Southeast Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Daniel Bruno
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35862
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: In the Wrangell Narrows south of December Point, approximately 19 miles south of Petersburg, AK. Coordinates: 56.5421° N, 132.9579° W.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Less than 0.2 acres of state-owned submerged land in SW1/4 NE1/4 Section 32, Township 61 South, Range 80 East, Copper River Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The seasonal (July – August) placement of a mooring buoy to provide safe anchorage and access to a privately-owned recreational cabin in the USFS uplands. The mooring buoy will be secured to the submerged lands by one 60-pound anchor and 40 feet of line.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: March 31, 2026
End: March 30, 2031

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a discussion is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southeast Regional Land Office, 400 Willoughby Ave./PO Box 111020, Juneau, AK 99811-1020 or to christi.scott@alaska.gov on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
