Subject to AS 38.05.565, the SCRO Material Sales Program has received a contract renewal request for the following:
APPLICANT: Tutka, LLC

PROJECT NAME: Material Sale ADL 234153

DESIGNATED MATERIAL SITE: ADL 231623 Lawing Airport

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Near the Lawing Airstrip, in Crown Point, AK.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: A 6-acre sale within Section 24, Township 14 North, Range 1 West, Seward Meridian.

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Tutka, LLC is requesting to work in ADL 231623 under ADL 234153 to complete the previously authorized extraction and purchase of 15,575 cubic yards (cy) of material from this site at Fair Market Value (FMV), through 2026.

REQUESTED TERM: Sale term for 1 year.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: February 25, 2026, at 5:00 pm

DMLW is seeking information related to the extraction of material from this site that may assist in the development of specific operating/reclamation requirements for the site, or identifying any multiple land use issues that may need to be addressed prior to issuance of this or future contracts.
Pursuant to AS 38.05.565, public notice of future contracts may not be conducted.
To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at South Central Regional Land Office, 550 7th Ave suite 900c, Anchorage, Alaska 99501 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
