Department of Education and Early Development Regulatory Revisions - Administrative Order 360

Notice of Approved Plan

On August 4, 2025, Governor Mike Dunleavy issued Administrative Order 360 to improve the quality, transparency, and efficiency of Alaska’s regulatory environment by requiring a 15 percent reduction in regulations by 2026 and 25 percent by 2027. In response, the Alaska State Department of Education and Early Development held a series of special virtual meetings to solicit public input through the digital platform Zoom. The public was invited to attend this meeting by joining online through Zoom or via phone.

Each agency, through their designated ARL, is required to post their approved plans for regulatory reform on the Alaska Online Public Notice System. This posting is separate from the public notice of proposed regulations under AS 44.62 (Administrative Procedure Act).

Questions: For questions or for more information, contact our Agency Regulatory Liaison, Karen Morrison, Deputy Commissioner at eed.arl@alaska.gov. More information is also available on our website at Administrative Order 360.

Individuals can also sign up to receive automated notifications of all State of Alaska notices, including public notice for regulation changes, by subscribing to the Alaska Online Public Notices System: https://aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/Default.aspx.
