Public Notice: Proposed Leases

Pursuant to AS 38.05.945
(USGS Quad Map Talkeetna Mtns A-5)

Subject to AS 38.05.070(b) the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has made a Preliminary Decision to offer four 10-year non-competitive land leases to Last Frontier Adventures, LLC for approximately 1.25 acres to construct, maintain, and use four separate cabins, each with a pit privy, located near Talkeetna, Alaska. The sites are located within the SW1/4 of the NW1/4 of Section 14, Township 24N, Range 1W, Seward Meridian (ADL 234648); SE1/4 of the  SE1/4 of Section 10, Township 24N, Range 1E, Seward Meridian (ADL 234651); NE1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 3, Township 23N, Range 2E, Seward Meridian (ADL 234652); and SW1/4 of the SE1/4 of Section 25, Township 23N, Range 1W, Seward Meridian (ADL 234653).

The public is invited to review and comment on this Preliminary Decision. A copy of the Preliminary Decision can be found at https://aws.state.ak.us/OnlinePublicNotices/default.aspx or is available in hardcopy upon request. All comments must be received in writing at the above listed mailing address or e-mail on or before 11:59 PM on February 20, 2026. To be eligible to appeal DNR’s Final Decision, under AS 38.05.035(i)-(m), a person must have submitted written comments during this comment period.
