Following the close of a 30-day public notice period, DEC has prepared an APDES proposed final general permit. Prior to making the final decision to issue the general permit, DEC invites you to view the proposed final general permit and associated documents. You can access the proposed final general permit and associated documents at DEC’s Wastewater Discharge Authorization Program website at https://dec.alaska.gov/water/wastewater.

Permit No: AKR100000 - Construction General Permit

Proposed Project and Location: The ADEC proposes to reissue an Alaska Construction General Permit (the permit) for discharges from large and small construction activities. The permit authorizes and sets conditions on the discharge of pollutants from construction projects to waters of the United States. To ensure protection of water quality and human health, the permit describes control measures that must be used to control the types and amounts of pollutants that can be discharged from construction activities.

Tentative Determination: DEC has tentatively determined to reissue the wastewater discharge permit.

Administrative Record: The proposed final permit, fact sheet, and associated documents are available for public review at the DEC offices located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Soldotna, and Wasilla. Please contact the office of your choice to arrange for hard copies of the documents to be available for your review or contact the DEC representative noted above.
