Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received a revised application for the following:

APPLICANT: Arctic Fat Truck Tours LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35688

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: South of Chena Hot Springs Road, east of Two Rivers, in the Tanana Valley State Forest’s Pleasant Valley region, as shown in the revised site diagram.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Sections 5 and 6 of Township 1 South, Range 4 East, Fairbanks Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:

The applicant has submitted a revised application requesting authorization for off-road travel to support commercial tours and scenic viewing on state land within the Tanana Valley State Forest (TVSF). Tours would consist of two Fat Truck off-road vehicles conducting year-round tours, six days a week, with up to six tours per day. The applicant’s revised application provided the following changes:

1. Reduction in the proposed route from approximately 9 miles to approximately 4 miles.
2. Limiting travel to a portion of a section line easement (part of Baseline Road); Jenny M Creek Road, an active secondary logging road managed by the DNR Division of Forestry, and ADL 402376, a public access easement known as Pheasant Farm Road.
3. Maintenance of the proposed route to a width no greater than 12 feet.
4. Correction to previously provided vehicle specifications and weight.
   1. Weight 7,700 lbs.
   2. Width 8.5 feet
   3. Length 12 feet

Public Notice of the original application was posted to the State of Alaska Online Public Notice System from August 29, 2025, to September 12, 2025. The original Public Notice was subsequently extended to September 27, 2025. All comments received during the initial Public Notice period will be incorporated in the review and adjudication of this request, along with any additional comments received during the Public Notice of the revised application.

REQUESTED TERM: 5 years.
