DIPAC Visitor Center
2697 Channel Drive, Juneau, Alaska
Virtual meeting option will be available.
The Southern, Northern and Joint Southeast Regional Planning Teams (RPTs) will hold their annual fall meetings concurrently at the above date and time. RPTs are a valuable part of the State of Alaska’s salmon fishery enhancement program. RPTs are advisory to the commissioner of Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G). RPTs are composed of six members, three are ADF&G staff appointed by the commissioner and three are fishery representatives appointed by the appropriate regional aquaculture association. In Southeast Alaska, the Joint RPT is made up of nine members, three are ADF&G staff appointed by the commissioner, three fishery representatives appointed by Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (NSRAA) and three fishery representatives appointed by Southern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (SSRAA). RPT meetings are open to the public and public participation is encouraged.
There are no permit alteration requests (PARs) as action items on the agenda. The Joint RPT will finalize a review on all chum salmon release sites in the Southeast enhancement region; and continue discussion on broodstock sanctuaries. General discussion items include a plan by Armstrong Keta Inc. to increase their coho salmon capacity from 6 to 8 million eggs; and may include other topics concerning hatchery-produced salmon.
