Public Comment Opportunity: CDBG-DR Action Plan for 2023 Lower Yukon Floods
The Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) is developing a Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Action Plan in response to the impacts of the 2023 flooding event in the Lower Yukon (DR-4730-AK). The Recovery Action Plan will outline how disaster recovery funds allocated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will be used to support recovery efforts in following Lower Yukon communities: Alakanuk, Emmonak, Kotlik, Marshall, Mountain Village, Pilot Station, Pitkas Point, Russian Mission, and Saint Mary’s.
The Recovery Action Plan helps the State inform the public and HUD of the intended use of the funds and how the plan connects to the community’s remaining Unmet Needs (or effects from the flooding that haven’t been addressed or fixed yet) and Mitigation Needs (or ways the community can protect itself against future floods).
The public is invited to contact the project team with questions and comments. Please contact:
