Hilcorp North Slope, LLC, Prudhoe Bay Unit, DS-L Pad through KRU Wellbore Easement

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received a
Private Non-Exclusive Easement application on October 9, 2025, from Hilcorp North Slope, LLC
(HNS) requesting an Alaska Statute (AS) 38.05.850 Easement for one wellbore to be drilled from
DS-L Pad in Prudhoe Bay Unit (PBU) that would cross the unit boundary and traverse through a
portion of Kuparuk River Unit (KRU) before returning to PBU. The proposed project will be
adjudicated under AS 38.05 and 11 AAC 83.346. The Division provides public notice and an
opportunity to comment.

Project Description:
The proposed subsurface easement would be located on the North Slope within KRU on the oil
and gas lease ADL 47449. The wellbore would originate and terminate in PBU with a portion of
the wellbore traversing ADL 47449 within KRU. An easement is required to authorize the KRU
portion of the wellbore because HNS is not the lessee of ADL 47449. The subsurface easement
would encompass 80 acres of non-HNS unitized subsurface in KRU and no hydrocarbons would
be produced from KRU.

comments must be in writing. A copy of the final decision will be sent to any person who
provides written comments. An eligible person affected by this decision may appeal or request the
commissioner’s reconsideration in accordance with 11 AAC 02.
