Alaska Forest Roads Working Group Meetings Scheduled

Purpose & Context
The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection (DOF), on behalf of the Alaska Board of Forestry, will convene a Forest Roads Working Group in two sessions.
These meetings respond to recent discussions at Board of Forestry meetings on forest road definitions, design standards, and long-term use under the Alaska Forest Resources & Practices Act (FRPA).The working group will refine problem statements and determine whether to recommend that the Board convene a formal Science & Technical Committee (S&TC) on the matter.

These meetings are open to the public. Oral or written comments may also be submitted at either session. Written comments may be submitted to lily.coyle@alaska.gov. Public comment will begin at approximately 3:40 p.m. and may be limited to 3 minutes per person to conclude within the scheduled time. If time remains at the end, additional time may be granted. Longer comments can be submitted in writing to the contact below.
