Proposed Project and Location:
The discharge of treated landfill leachate from the Ketchikan Pulp Company Ward Cove Landfill to Ward Cove and the discharge of storm water runoff from the vegetated landfill cap and surrounding area to Ward and Refuge Coves. Mixing zones are proposed for the landfill leachate (Outfall 001A) for manganese, color and whole effluent toxicity. Mixing zones are proposed for storm water: SWL4 for color, SWL6B and SWL11 for color, copper and nickel and SWL12 for color, copper, nickel and manganese.
