The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting two public open houses for the Chilkat Connector Feasibility Study. These meetings are an opportunity for the public to meet members of the study team, ask questions, and provide feedback about the study. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, October 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center and Thursday, October 2 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Haines Public Library.

DOT&PF is conducting this feasibility study for extending transportation access along the west side of Lynn Canal and will assess potential corridors, constructability challenges, environmental considerations, and cost implications of various alternatives, with the goal of identifying a viable option for improving access between Juneau and northern destinations.
