PUBLIC ACCESS EASEMENT

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO) has received an application for the following development within a section line easement:

PROJECT NAME: ADL 233137
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Tolsona, Alaska
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Township 4 North, Range 5 West, Sections 7, 17, 18, & 20, Copper River Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant has requested a public access easement for an existing multi-use trail that provides access to Tolsona Mountain Lake. There is an existing wooden tent platform on treated timber cribbing and a pit latrine near the end of the trail. The requested easement will be approximately 19,000 feet in length and 60 feet in width, with a total area of approximately 26 acres. The purpose of this proposed easement is to continue maintenance of the trail, which will include brushing with hand tools, and to ensure continued public access.
The easement, if approved, may differ from that described herein.
