Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Matanuska Electric Association
PROJECT NAME: ADL 234687
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Approximately five miles south of Palmer, across South Bodenburg Spur, within the DNR-Division of Agriculture’s Plant Materials Center Interagency Land Management Assignment (ADL 228306).
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Within the S½ of the NW¼ of Section 34, Township 17 North, Range 2 East, Seward Meridian, as shown on the attached site diagram.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant has requested a public utility easement measuring approximately 150 feet in length and 20 feet in width, comprising 3,000 square feet, more or less. The purpose of the present project is to provide power to a new seed cleaning mechanical room within the Division of Agriculture’s Plant Materials Center. DNR-DMLW is considering issuing an easement for public utility purposes as requested or at a width of 30 feet.
REQUESTED TERM: Indefinitely or until no longer needed.

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
