Granite Point Platform
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) has made a preliminary decision to approve Hilcorp Alaska, LLC’s application for Air Quality Control Operating Permit AQ0066TVP05 for the Granite Point Platform, under Alaska Statutes 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Location: Latitude 60º 57´ 30" North; Longitude 151º 19´ 53" West
Application: Hilcorp applied for a renewal operating permit on April 16, 2025.
Activity: The Granite Point Platform is an off-shore oil and gas production platform. Oil and natural gas are processed through oil/gas separators on the platform. Product oil/natural gas is pumped through underwater pipelines to the Granite Point Tank Farm. The produced natural gas is also used as fuel on the platform or flared.
Emissions: The potential annual emissions of regulated air pollutants at the stationary source will not exceed: 690 tons of Nitrogen Oxides, 1184 tons of Carbon Monoxide, 55 tons of Particulate Matter, 179 tons of Sulfur Dioxide, 459 tons of Volatile Organic Compounds, and 0.61 tons of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP). The potential annual emissions for Greenhouse Gases are estimated at 62,541 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. The total annual potential emissions of regulated air pollutants, other than greenhouse gases, are 2565 tons.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on a review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for the Granite Point Platform under AS 46.14 and 18 AAC 50.

ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or state law. ADEC will issue a final decision to issue or deny the permit after the close of the public comment period.
