On June 5, 2025, the Board of Public Accountancy adopted regulations in Title 12, Chapter 04 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern the application process and requirements for licensure for: licensure by examination, reciprocity, temporary military courtesy license, or as permitted under practice privilege; removing references to application for temporary license; updating renewal requirements, continuing education hours, and definitions.

The regulations were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on June 26, 2025, and are effective on July 26, 2025. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The regulation changes will first appear in Register 255, October 2025 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
