08669 Proposal To Extend a State Airport Land Lease - King Salmon

PROPOSAL TO EXTEND A STATE AIRPORT LAND LEASE: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to extend Lease ADA-08669 (Lot 1B, Block 800), consisting of approximately 22,500 square feet, at King Salmon Airport for an additional five (5) years, to expire June 4, 2030.  Applicant:  United States of America (for Dept. of the Interior, Fish & Wildlife Service).  Annual rent:  $4,882.50.  Authorized uses:  Aeronautical – Construction, operation, and maintenance of a hangar for the maintenance and storage of U.S. Government aircraft, aircraft parking and tie-downs, and fueling of government aircraft only, installation of two fuel tanks, three containment sheds, fuel pump and vehicle parking.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease term extension without competition.  Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., July 12, 2025, after which the Department will determine whether or not to extend the lease.  The Department’s decision will be sent only to persons who submit written comment or objection to the Department, at the address and by the date and time specified in this notice, and include their return address.  Information is available from Sharyn Augustine, Statewide Aviation Leasing, PO Box 112505, Juneau, AK 99811-2505, phone (907) 465-6893 or fax (907) 465-1395 or email sharyn.augustine@alaska.gov.
