The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to supply radiation dosimetry badges, along with support, calibration, and testing services for associated equipment. This solicitation is intended to result in a single multi-year contract award to a firm capable of providing the following services and possessed the required accreditations::
1. An organization that is accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2017, General Criteria for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories.
2. Provide USB and TLD-type radiation detection badges, along with data support for the analysis and summarization of radiation detection badges and annual cumulative exposure readings.
3. Calibrate up to 80 Troxler 3400 series Moisture-Density gauges annually on-site in Anchorage, Alaska.
4. Conduct non-routine maintenance on-site for a maximum of 80 Troxler 3400 series Moisture-Density gauges and 15 Troxler 3241-C asphalt content gauges annually (Anchorage, AK).
5. A company in compliance with the ASTM D 7759 Standard Guide for Nuclear Surface Moisture and Density Gauge Calibration and has received approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to conduct and analyze leak tests for utilization on Moisture-Density gauges.
6. Conduct out-of-sequence calibration and non-routine maintenance at the contractor's facility as necessary.
7. Conduct an annual audit, should the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) request this service, of DOT&PF's radiation safety program at the State Radiation Safety Office located in Anchorage, prior to November 15 of each contract year.
Conduct the calibration of calibration blocks as necessary, ensuring that it is performed at a minimum interval of every five years.
Proposals must be received no later than 2:00P.M. Alaska Time July 1 , 2025 Emailed, faxed or oral proposals will not be accepted.
