Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Riverbank Safaris LLC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 35430

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in southwest Alaska within the submerged lands of the Alagnak River, approximately one mile southwest of Kukaklek Lake and approximately 20 miles southeast of Igiugig.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NW1/4SE1/4 Section 19, Township 12 South, Range 37 West, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Riverbank Safaris is requesting a permit for the seasonal moorage (June - October) of a buoy within the Alagnak River near Kukaklek Lake to be used in support of commercial recreation activities. The floating buoy would be attached to a 8-lb steel rod anchor and would be used to moor a 16-foot boat.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: June 2025
End: October 2029

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written or emailed comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
