Notice is hereby given that the State of Alaska Public Safety Communications Services proposes to extend the height of a communications tower that services the Alaska Railroad Corporation and State of Alaska Public Safety Network. The proposed extension of the structure consists of a new 20’ section of Valmont tower for a total height of 40’and the addition of dual solid red LED tower beacons per FAA’s advisory circular 70/7460-1M. The location for the structure is 63°43'53.30" N 148°54'45.20" W.
Interested persons may review the FCC application by going to www.fcc.gov/asr/applications and entering Form 854 File Number A1310009.
Interested persons may also raise environmental concerns about the proposed structure by filing a Request for Environmental Review with the Federal Communications Commission. On or before the end of the 30-day posting period on the FCC website, you may submit a Request for Environmental Review if you believe that a proposed tower or tower modification may have a significant impact on the environment. You must serve a copy of your Request for Environmental Review on the applicant. Late-filed Requests for Environmental Review may be subject to dismissal.
