Notice of Filing Derelict Vessels Regulations

On February 6, 2025, the Department of Natural Resources adopted regulations in 11 AAC 200 concerning the removal of derelict vessels and procedures for state agencies and municipalities to request reimbursement from the derelict vessel prevention program fund.

The regulations were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, and filed by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on February 10, 2025, with an effective date of March 12, 2025.

The original adoption order contained an error in the statutory authority. A corrected adoption order was signed on February 21, 2025, and filed by the Lieutenant Governor's Office on February 24, 2025, with an updated effective date of March 26, 2025.

Attached is a copy of the filed regulations.

The regulation changes will first appear in Register 253, in April 2025, of the Alaska Administrative Code.
