Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) filed TA565-8, proposing to update its Community Solar Service project (Project) to reflect current engineering and construction plans. The new proposed design is a 650 kW direct current fixed tilt solar photovoltaic array, consisting of 1,560 individual panels, with each panel expected to generate approximately 399 kWh per year. Chugach proposes to initiate the application period in March 2025 and will conclude initial enrollment on May 15, 2025, if fully subscribed. The Project will commence July 1, 2025, with the pilot period ending June 30, 2028. The new proposed rate for the initial 12-month subscription period is $110 per year, or $9.21 per month, per panel. During the three-year pilot period, Chugach will maintain a balancing account to address any over- or under-recovery of Project energy, with filings to be submitted by May 15 each year.
