Notice of Utility Tariff Filings
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Securus Technologies, LLC (Securus), the inmate calling service provider for correctional facilities within the state of Alaska, has filed tariff revisions TA8-758 and TA29-461, for local and intrastate interexchange services, respectively, in compliance with order 24-75 released by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on July 22, 2024. Specifically, Securus proposes to remove the rate caps for the Alaska Department of Corrections inmate calling services (ICS) and reduce the per-minute rates for collect calls, prepaid calling cards, prepaid debit, and AdvanceConnect calls. The per-minute rate for local exchange ICS (TA8-758) is currently $0.07 per minute, and for intrastate interexchange ICS (TA29-461) is currently $0.14 per minute. Securus proposes to set both per-minute rates at $0.06 per minute in compliance with the FCC order.
