Glenn Highway and Hiland Road Interchange Improvements
Open House No. 1
Thursday, January 23, 2025
5 – 7 p.m.
Eagle River Town Center – Community Room
12001 Business Blvd., Eagle River, AK 99577

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting an open house for the Glenn Highway and Hiland Road Interchange Improvements project.

This project plans to improve the Glenn Highway and Hiland Road (Glenn-Hiland) Interchange in the Eagle River community. The existing interchange at Glenn Highway and Eagle River Loop Road has long been a bottleneck during the morning commute hour, causing significant delays and frustrations for travelers heading southbound toward Anchorage. Bridge maintenance work is also needed to ensure the existing bridge meets exceeds its design lifespan.

Join the project team to learn about the potential alternatives to reduce morning delays at the interchange, ask questions, and share your comments. Meeting materials will be available on the project website beginning January 23, 2025. Comments can be submitted during the meeting, online, or in writing.

Visit https://glenn-hiland.com/ to join the email list for project updates, make a comment, and learn more about the project.
