NOTICE OF ADOPTED AND FILED REGULATIONS OF

ALASKA POLICE STANDARDS COUNCIL

On December 2, 2024, Alaska Police Standards Council adopted regulations in Public Safety Certification for Officers, 13 AAC 85.040 – 13 AAC 85.237. The regulations concern certification levels and standards for police, probation, parole, correctional, and municipal correctional officers.

The regulations were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on December 20, 2024, and are effective on January 19, 2025. Attached is a copy of the filed regulations.

The regulation changes will first appear in Register 253, April 2025, of the Alaska Administrative Code.
