NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATION
LAS 25476 & LAS 26625
Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that the ADFG William Jack Hernandez Sportfish hatchery, 941 North Reeve Blvd., Anchorage Alaska, 99501, applied for two permits to appropriate water on November 4th, 2005 and February 23rd, 2007 respectively. The applications propose the following:
The withdrawal of water, up to 720,000 gallons per day year-round and 4,320,000 gallons per day year-round for the hatchery water supply, from four drilled wells, 205, 341, 352 and 346 feet in depth, located within the following lot:
Beginning from the iron pin marking the South-West corner of the North-East quarter of the South-West quarter (NE1/4 SW1/4) of Section 9, Tract 13 North, Range 3 West, of the Seward Meridian, proceed North 260.5 feet to a stake marking Corner A which is the true point of beginning; thence N.70 °38’16”E. 267.92 feet to Corner B; thence N.53°44’17”E. 159.25 feet to corner C; thence N36°40’48”E. 67.65 feet to corner D; thence N.24°05’49”E. 83.60 feet to Corner E; thence N18°08’20”E. 229.55 feet to corner F; thence N.21°36’49”E. 190.64 feet to corner G; thence N.48°39’22”E. 343.16 feet to Corner H; thence N.29°07’36”W. 86.18 feet to Corner J; thence S.58°06’56”W. 771.00 feet to Corner K; thence N.32°37’02”W. 293.80 feet to Corner L; thence South 849.74 feet to Corner A or true point of beginning.
Per AS 46.15.133 (a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing to the above-listed address or to gabe.madore@alaska.gov by 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd, 2025. Objection must include the objector’s name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
