Susitna Valley Forest Management Plan information meeting

 The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry & Fire Protection is beginning the process of creating the Susitna Valley Forest Management Plan that will replace the 1991 Susitna Forestry Guidelines. 


The planning process will open with a public meeting held in the Palmer office of the Division of Forestry & Fire Protection located at 101 Airport Road, Palmer, on December 11, 2024, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The meeting space is wheelchair accessible. A web-based videoconference option will be available through Teams, and telephone call-in information will be available. The purpose of this meeting is to describe the nature of the planning process, outline the timeline, and identify opportunities for public involvement.
