Contest Details
We invite Alaskans to participate in naming of three snowplows for the Winter Operations Fleet, our first responders for snow removal on Egan Drive in Juneau, Alaska. We're looking for clever, distinctive, and winter-inspired names that reflect our community's creativity and appreciation for these hard-working plows that keep Juneau moving.
Submit your name ideas through the official survey form below. The winner will be announced at the Alaska Snow Summit on November 21.
This year's contest includes the following guidelines:
- Trio of Names: Submissions must include a team of three names for the snowplows. Each name should be unique but form a cohesive set for our Winter Operations Fleet.
- Character Limit: Each individual name is limited to 30 characters (including letters and spaces).
- Keep It Classy: Submissions containing profanity, inappropriate language, or suggestive content will be disqualified.
- Non-Political: Snowplow names should be fun and lighthearted. Politically inspired names (including slogans, phrases, or plays on politicians' names) will not be considered to maintain a nonpartisan tone.
Help us celebrate winter and honor our snowplow operators with names that will bring smiles to our community all season long!
