CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BIDS (ITB’s)

Sealed bids in single copy for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work on Project No. SDRER00639; HNS Hwy MP 10 Erosion ER 9/2024, described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time September 19, 2024, at the Construction Contracts Office, 1st Floor, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska.

This State funded project includes construction of rock fill to mitigate riverbank erosion at 10-mile Haines Highway.  Construct a rock fill in the Chilkat River along approximately 215 feet of embankment at the location directed by the Engineer. Contractor shall conform to FISH HABITAT PERMIT FH24-I-0113 prohibition against unloading haul units directly into the Chilkat River. Other work referenced in the permit including the plans for the Enhanced Rootwad Embankment is not included in this letting  All work under the Contract shall be completed within 14 days of NTP. Work shall be performed in conformance with the Alaska DOT&PF Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 2020 edition and as detailed in the Scope of Work.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $250,000.00 and $500.000.00. All work shall be completed within 14 days of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidding Documents are available for inspection at the office of the Regional Department of Transportation and Public Facilities offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.
