Initiative Hearings Information - Ballot Measure No. 1 (23AMLS)
An initiative to increase Alaska’s minimum wage, provide
workers with paid sick leave, and protect workers from practices
that violate their constitutional rights.
The Office of the Lt. Governor & Division of Elections has scheduled the following hearings on Ballot Measure No. 1 - Alaska’s Minimum Labor Standards Initiative. Ballot Measure No. 1 is scheduled to appear on the General Election Ballot on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Each public hearing will consist of a statement of support from the proponents of the ballot measure and follow with a statement of opposition from a group opposing the measure. The public will then be allowed to call in for the remainder of the hearing to leave public testimony. Meetings may conclude early if there are no remaining members of the public signed up to testify.
