The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received a Unit Plan of Operations Amendment application on August 19, 2024, from Hilcorp Alaska, LLC (Hilcorp) requesting authorization to expand the existing Ivan River Pad on the west side of Cook Inlet within the Susitna Flats Game Refuge. The proposed project will be adjudicated under AS 38.05 and 11 AAC 83.346. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Project Description:

Hilcorp proposes to expand the existing Ivan River Pad. The pad expansion would have a footprint of 2.1 acres with 17,300 cubic yards of gravel fill being used for the project. The project would involve placement of gravel fill abutting existing infrastructure to support current and future natural gas exploration and development activities in the Ivan River Unit. Hilcorp proposes to begin work on April 1, 2025.
