NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
AMHS FFY24-25 Fleet Condition Survey- Engineering Services

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional services to seek qualified maritime consultants to conduct an annual Fleet Condition Survey of its vessels. The primary purpose is to assess the current condition of each vessel, identify necessary maintenance or repairs, and recommend future improvements.
A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from October 01, 2024 to December 31, 2025. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $250,000-$500,000.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available August 27, 2024 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK 99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4420. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received no later than September 17, 2024, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau. Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages. If you download a Request for Proposal (over $100,000) from this page, you must register with the respective regional plans room to be placed on the planholders list for that project and to receive subsequent addenda. Every effort will be made by the Department to ensure that Contractors receive all addenda when issued. Addenda may be issued by any reasonable method such as mail, telefacsimile, express delivery service, and electronic posting to this website. It is the Offeror’s responsibility to ensure that he has received all addenda affecting the RFP. No protest will be allowed based on the offeror’s allegation that he did not receive all the addenda for a RFP.
