REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR STATE FISCAL YEARS 2025-2027
| BRIEF DESCRIPTION The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), Division of Water, Alaska Clean Water Actions (ACWA) grant program is requesting proposals for projects that protect or improve water quality from nonpoint source pollution. Proposals are due October 21 by 11:59 p.m. and must use the application available on the ACWA Request for Proposals (RFP) webpage. |
The DEC is celebrating 25 years of the ACWA program and are excited to announce the availability of nearly one million dollars in ACWA grant funds that can be used to improve or protect water quality throughout Alaska.
What is the time frame and what types of projects will be accepted?
Projects must be completed between March 2025 and February 2027.
Several categories of projects will be considered for funding. The categories are:
- Best Management Practices to Improve or Protect Water Quality - Projects that address stormwater runoff through designing and installing green infrastructure are highly encouraged.
- Watershed Planning
- Public Outreach and Education
- Monitoring for Nonpoint Source Pollution or Best Management Practice Effectiveness
- Marine BEACH pathogen monitoring
DEADLINE for all applications is 11:59 p.m. October 21, 2024.

Applications must be submitted using the forms provided on the ACWA RFP webpage http://dec.alaska.gov/water/water-quality/nonpoint-source-control/alaska-clean-water-actions/acwa-application/. The RFP document provides more information on the project categories and high priority watersheds.
