MCCARTHY ROAD PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL LINKAGES (PEL) STUDY

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) invites you to visit our second online public open house for the Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study of the McCarthy Road. The study corridor extends east from Chitina to the southern end of the Kennicott subdivision. This study will evaluate transportation-related needs and opportunities along the McCarthy Road, identify and evaluate potential improvements, and propose recommendations for future implementation.
DOT&PF, in collaboration with Western Federal Lands and National Park Service has prepared an online open house that will be available to viewers from July 25 to August 25, 2024, from the project website: http://www.mccarthyroadpel.com. Please submit comments or take a survey from the website linked from www.McCarthyRoadPEL.com by August 25, 2024. The PEL study will be completed by summer 2025.
