Mustang Holding LLC, Southern Miluveach Unit, Mustang Pad Expansion
Unit Plan of Operations Amendment

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (Division) received a request for approval of a Unit Plan of Operations (Plan) Amendment from Mustang Holding LLC (MHLLC) on July 8, 2024, to expand Mustang Pad located in the Southern Miluveach Unit (SMU). The proposed project will be adjudicated under AS 38.05 and 11 AAC 83.346. The Division is providing public notice and an opportunity to comment.

Project Description:

The Plan Amendment proposes to place 70,000 cubic yards of gravel on tundra adjacent to the Mustang Pad located in the SMU, to expand the pad by a total of 5 acres. The expansion will be located on the southeast corner of the pad and will measure 945 feet by 225 feet. The Mustang Mine Site, located 0.5 miles northwest of Mustang Pad, will be the source of gravel and fill material for the project. The purpose of the project is to provide space for the placement of camps at an appropriate distance from current and planned well sites. The project is scheduled to start September 1, 2024.
