The Department intends to enter into a negotiated agreement for professional services to obtain structural, civil, geotechnical, coastal, electrical, and mechanical engineering services for the replacement of the existing Cold Bay Dock in Cold Bay, Alaska. Expertise in the analysis and design of floating structures, fendering structures, and pile supported mooring structures in the marine environment is required. Obtain assistance with writing the Environmental Assessment (EA), including a Climate Change Analysis, Essential Fish Habitat Assessment, Section 106 support, Section 508 compliance, public involvement, and permitting assistance.
A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is from September 15, 2024 to December 31, 2030. Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $1,000,000 or greater.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available July 18, 2024 and may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, AK 99801-7999. Persons residing outside the City & Borough of Juneau may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 465-4420. Walk-in and telephone service is available during the hours of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received no later than August 08, 2024, 4:00 PM prevailing time. Please be advised that none of the courier services (Fed-EX, UPS, etc.) provide overnight service to or from Juneau. Please allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages. Proposals may be submitted by email to: srdotpfcontracts@alaska.gov
