CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BIDS (ITB’s)

Sealed bids in single copy for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work on Project No. 3-02-0158-027-2024/SFAPT00144_A; Kodiak Airport Fencing Upgrades - Re-Bid, described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time August 06, 2024, at the Construction Contracts Office, 1st Floor, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska.

This Federally funded project will consist of a safety and security enhancement project at the Benny Benson Kodiak Airport. The project focuses on updates that address 49 CFR 1542 requirements. The work includes the replacement of fencing and manual swing gates, and installing new culvert security screens, fence skirting, guardrail, a new Access Control System (ACS), a new wireless network tower, electrically locked pedestrian gates, and powered vehicle gates. Portions of the work involve excavating soils that contain Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and Petroleum (POL) contaminants, which will require special handling procedures in accordance with an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

The Engineer's Estimate is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. All work shall be completed by June 15, 2026. This is a Race Neutral project as defined in Section G-120 of the Specifications.
