RFP #2025-2000-0037 Maritime Safety Instructor

The Department of Corrections, Division of Health and Rehabilitation Services, is soliciting for proposals to provide U.S. Coast Guard accepted training that allows for offenders to meet the requirements of fisherman working onboard commercial fishing vessels. It will provide practical hands-on experience in survival equipment and the procedures for their use. It is a recommended training for all operators and crew members of commercial vessels, but the credential is particularly viewed favorably by the fishing industry and results in hiring advantage for those who have had the training. It also meets training requirements of commercial fisherman on documented vessels operating beyond the International Maritime Boundary Line.
