Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Matanuska Electric Association, Inc. (MEA) filed TA560-18, proposing to revise its monthly Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) Charge to recover its portion of the ERO surcharge. The ERO surcharge was approved on an interim basis by the Commission with Order No. E-23-002(1) and functions to recover the cost of running the ERO from its constituent load serving entities (LSE’s). 3 AAC 46.420(e) and (f) permit LSE’s to implement a separate charge, without prior Commission approval, on its bills to retail customers to collect the Commission-approved ERO surcharge it is assessed.
With TA560-18, MEA proposes a $0.00061 per kilowatt hour (kWh) charge to recover the ERO surcharge. The surcharge is effective July 1, 2024.
