On March 27, 2024, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska adopted regulations addressing the scheduling and conduct of the agency’s public meetings. 3 AAC 48.180 – 3 AAC 48.190. The regulations concern public meeting procedures to clarify the ability of the Chair to cancel regular public meetings. We also adopted amended regulations to reflect current agency practices for noticing, conducting, and transcribing public meetings, and to ensure written materials under discussion at public meetings are publicly available and included in the agency record.
The regulations were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the , Office of the Lieutenant Governor on June 17, 2024, and are effective on July 17, 2024, attached is a copy of the filed regulations.
The regulation changes will first appear in Register 251, October 2024, of the Alaska Administrative Code.
