The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is hosting two (2) public open houses for the Sterling Safety Corridor Improvements Milepost (MP) 82.5 to 94 project in June 2024.

Come view the potential improvements, ask questions, and share comments directly with the project team. Meeting materials will be available on the project website beginning June 25, 2024. Comments can be submitted during the meetings, online, or in writing.
Project Overview
DOT&PF has identified the need for the Sterling Safety Corridor Improvements MP 82.5 to 94 project. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and reduce congestion for people and motorized traffic traveling along the Sterling Highway. This project will provide highway travelers with a safe and reliable roadway supporting efficient movement of goods, services, and people, while accommodating the seasonal increase of tourist and recreational traffic.
