STATE OF ALASKA – DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc – DS-1B Hammer Mill, North Slope Alaska

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SWXCP008-28, to ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. (CPAI) to operate a Grind and Inject Facility.

APPLICANT INFORMATION:

Landowner: State of Alaska

Landfill Operator: ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc.

Location: DS-1B gravel pad in the Kuparuk River Unit on the North Slope of Alaska, within Section 9, Township 11 North, Range 10 East, Umiat Meridian.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

CPAI is requesting to modify their current permit (SWXA063-28) permit which covers the DS-1B grind and inject facility into a comprehensive permit that includes a mobile Grind and Inject unit (ball mill) that will follow a drill rig and operate throughout the Kuparuk River Unit as needed.
