NOTICE OF PROPOSED REGULATION CHANGES ON THE MARICULTURE REVOLVING LOAN FUND ELIGIBILITY IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE DIVISION OF INVESTMENTS

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Investments proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 3 of the Alaska Administrative Code.

3AAC 80.410 – 3AAC 80.480 is proposed to be amended through the addition of new subsections and language clarifying application requirements and review for the Mariculture Revolving Loan Fund Eligibility, along with revisor edits under AS 44.62.125.

You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons in complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Andy Macaulay, P.O. Box 110802, Juneau, AK 99811-0802.

Additionally, the Division of Investments will accept comments by fax at 907-465-2103 and by electronic mail at andy.macaulay@alaska.gov. Comments may also be submitted through the Alaska Online Public Notice System by accessing this notice on the system and using the comment link. The comments must be received not later than 5:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024. Oral or written comments also may be submitted in person at the scheduled hearings.

The division invites you to attend a public hearing to be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). The hearing will be held at the following location:

Juneau
State Office Building, 9th Floor, Conference Room C, located at 333 Willoughby Avenue, Juneau, Alaska.

The hearing may be extended to accommodate those present before 12:00 p.m. who did not have an opportunity to comment. If you are unable to attend a hearing in person and would like to participate by teleconference, please call 1 (800) 315-6338 and enter access code 42070 followed by the # (pound sign).

After the public comment period ends, the Division of Investments will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment during the time allowed if your interests could be affected. Written comments received are public records and are subject to public inspection.
