Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the State Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Board.

On November 17, 2023, the State Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Board

 adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 54 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations deal application requirements for foreign educated physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapists and implementing statutory changes to AS 08.84 under 1 Chapter 66, SLA 2022 (HB99).

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed, and filed by the Lieutenant Governor (or designee) on February 26, 2024, and go into effect on March 27, 2024. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 249, April 2024 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
