Public Meeting of AMHB/ABADA

The Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ABADA) and the Alaska Mental Health Board (AMHB) will hold a joint board meeting in Wasilla, April 16-18, beginning daily at 8:45am. The meeting will be held at the Mat-Su Resort (1850 E. Bogard Rd.) and virtually via Zoom. These meetings are open to the public and an agenda with Zoom links are available upon request by emailing amhb.abada@alaska.gov or by visiting health.alaska.gov/amhb.

 

There will be a public reception and opportunity for formal public comment to ABADA and AMHB board members on Wednesday, April 17th, 3:45-5:45 pm. Public comment will begin at 4:00 pm, after board member introductions. The public can comment in person at the Wasilla Public Library (500 N. Crusey St.). Light refreshments will be provided. This public comment period will also be available by zoom and teleconference by dialing 1-(719) 359-4580, Meeting ID: 879 8536 0813.

 

If you wish to provide comment and you need special accommodation to participate in this process, please contact amhb.abada@alaska.gov no later than April 8th to ensure that any necessary accommodations can be provided.

 

Alaska's Open Meetings Act (AS 44.62.310) requires all meetings of our advisory boards be open to the public. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in these meetings, but all comments and questions will go through the Chair of the proceedings. Any comments or questions from members of the public should be thoughtful and constructive when offering criticism and should not be used to criticize or attack specific individuals.
