NOTICE OF WATER RIGHT APPLICATIONS

LAS 26901 and LAS 26902

 

Pursuant to AS 46.15.133 and 11 AAC 93.080, notice is hereby given that the Village of Tyonek applied for permits to appropriate water on June 11, 2008. The applications propose the following:

LAS 26901:  The withdrawal of up to 7,000 gallons/day from January 1st through December 31st each year from a drilled well, 150 feet deep, located within the appurtenant parcel listed below;

LAS 26902:  The withdrawal of up to 12,000 gallons/day from January 1st through December 31st each year from a drilled well, 238 feet deep, located within the appurtenant parcel listed below:

The proposed source location is all that part of said USS 1865, beginning for reference at the NW corner of Lot 21, Block 2 of Indian Creek Subdivision, Anchorage Plat 87-18, thence N56-55-12E, 202.25 feet, along and coincident with N boundary line of Lot 21, Block 2, to the point of beginning; thence N18-14-17W, 115.37 feet; thence S71-45-26W, 350.00 feet; thence N18-14-35W, 917.19 feet; thence N71-45-26E, 400.00 feet; thence S18-14-35E, to and intersecting the N boundary line between the NW corner of Lot 21, Block 2, and the NE corner of Lot 7, Block 3, 1019.31 feet; thence S56-55-12W, 51.73 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 372,314 square feet, or 8.5 acres more or less, further located within the E1/2 NW1/4 of Section 1, Township 11 North, Range 11 West, Seward Meridian, Anchorage Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.

The proposed purpose of use is as a public water supply for the Village of Tyonek. 

The proposed place of use is the Village of Tyonek, located within Section 1 and the NE1/4 of Section 12, Township 11 North, Range 11 West, Seward Meridian, further located in the Anchorage recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.

Per AS 46.15.133 (a), within 15 days of publication or service of notice, persons may file with the director written objections. Comments or objections must be made in writing to the above listed address or to jonathan.tucker@alaska.gov by 5:00 p.m. on April 4, 2024. Objection must include the objector’s name and address, and any facts tending to show that the rights of the objector or the public interest would be adversely affected by the proposed appropriation.
