NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGES ON THE REASONABLE AND ADEQUATE SMALL PROCUREMENT THRESHOLD IN THE REGULATIONS OF ADMINISTRATION

Brief Description: The Office of Procurement and Property Management (OPPM)

proposes to adopt regulation changes in Title 2 Administration of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with the reasonable and adequate small procurement monetary threshold, including the following:

  1. 2 AAC 12.400(b)(1)(2) and (c) is proposed to be changed to increase the reasonable and adequate small procurement threshold from $10,000 to $25,000.

You may comment on the proposed regulation changes, including the potential costs to private persons of complying with the proposed changes, by submitting written comments to Mindy Birk, OPPM, P.O. Box 110214, Juneau, AK 99811-0214. Additionally, OPPM will accept comments by electronic mail at DOA.OPPM.PolicyOversight@alaska.gov. The comments must be received not later than 4:30 p.m. AKST on March 27, 2024.

You may submit written questions relevant to the proposed action to DOA.OPPM.PolicyOversight@alaska.gov. The questions must be received at least 10 days before the end of the public comment period. OPPM will aggregate its response to substantially similar questions and make the questions and responses available on the Alaska Online Public Notice System.

After the public comment period ends, OPPM will either adopt the proposed regulation changes or other provisions dealing with the same subject, without further notice, or decide to take no action. The language of the final regulation may be different from that of the proposed regulation. You should comment during the time allowed if your interests could be affected.
