The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Solid Waste Treatment Permit No. SWXCP006-29, to ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. to expand the operations of their existing Grind and Inject (G&I) Facilities into the Bear Tooth Unit.

APPLICANT INFORMATION:

Location: Colville River Unit, Greater Mooses Tooth Unit, and Bear Tooth Unit, North Slope

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. proposes to expand the operating area of their existing mobile solid waste treatment facilities into the Bear Tooth Unit. No additional modifications to existing facility operations are proposed under this permit renewal. The facilities authorized under this permit are used for the treatment and disposal of drilling waste and RCRA non-hazardous waste generated from oil and gas exploration and production activities on the North Slope of Alaska.
