PROJECT SUMMARY AND LOCATION: The USFWS has applied to DEC for an aquatic pesticide use permit to apply pesticide to invasive orange hawkweed growing in the margins of water bodies near Ugashik. The proposed pesticide is Roundup Custom Herbicide, with EPA registration number 524-343, with active ingredient glyphosate. The product will be applied with a backpack sprayer,
targeting individual infestations. Treatment would occur between May 1 and August 31 throughout the duration of the permit.
